Under your feet and let me be
the oases have bitten the dust
and the assumption has been uprooted
by your cold-blooded clean hands.
but those laws once gave me paws
and I was on a wild goose hunt,
the immortal hunt of equality.
Day dreamer, and let me be.
Coming near I winced again
and refined my views if it was a mirage
Very likely, destiny played the expected game
The deserts of democracy taught me its phases,
It differs for high class to low class
as FIRST RATE to FRUSTRATE.
A man of straw, and let me be.
Broken legs, damaged parts
and it’s over under Britishers
But being under one’s own society
breaks courage and heart,
pinches every now and then.
Now I accept this phase of world
or so called INEQUALITY.
after being tired of waiting,
looking forward for a windfall.
Forget laws, forget humanity
and brush aside these words,
THE CRIES OF WILDERNESS
Why words in bold & caps, Apeksha? Let the words flow in their own rhythm. Like some of the phrases you use like ‘those laws once gave me paws
and I was on a wild goose hunt’!
Keep writing, dear! Best wishes!
