There you freeze,
right where you’ve reached
with utmost deference,
to you I plead.
And look over those steps,
going restless,
tell them, today, not to proceed.
There you freeze,
amid the fogs you remain,
for not seeing your face,
is all not vain.
Half a stranger, and half you’re known,
some virtue within has grown,
and knowing you, will get that slain.
There you freeze,
and all around will be well,
a bit your shadows,
more the heart will tell.
We’ve met, but never have the souls met,
so more your goodness, let me interpret,
For my practicality begs to hear the knell.
There you freeze,
right where you’ve reached
with utmost deference,
to you I plead.
