My Ace

Do not place your strength before the world. Instead, let your strength place you before the world.

Such abundant victories I’ve had perceived,

Same ace, billion times, I’ve had placed,

And every time, my heart, I deceived,

For the real victory was yet to be traced.

My ace as my existence, I’ve had conceived,

And to have it with me, I saw myself graced,

But then with time, I learnt to believe,

By it, before the world, I had to be placed.
