Is this me?

Interrogating myself again and again,

Just because I haven’t been proved,

And being scared of being deceived,

Doubting my own abilities,

Leashing my voice,

and shivering to speak,

Tired of walking, is this me?

Believing in their views on me,

And failing to overcome the rejections,

Smiling because I’ve been told to,

Inside, crying without a voice.

Tired of walking, is this me?

  1. I think we’ve all felt like this at one time or another and especially when we are younger and so at my age I try to encourage any and all to stand tall and be not afraid to give life to your voice and your ideas your thoughts. This is your one and only time in this world and you have as much right to life to do that as anyone else on the planet so don’t forfeit it to anyone else! ๐Ÿ™‚ โค

    1. Absolute truth, you expressed here! I’m seeing myself overcoming negativity and some great people like you owe the credit. Thank you so very much for making me feel better with this๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

  2. I think we’ve all felt like this at some point and it’s very important to not let it rule us. It’s easier said than done, I know. But we need to be a little less hard on ourselves and have faith in ourselves and do what we know deep down we want to. ๐Ÿ™‚
Anyway, back yo you. You’ve expressed beautifully ๐Ÿ™‚ โค

Our surroundings have the tendency to make us feel low of ourselves, but to take it as it comes or to reject is in our hands. Experiences make our skin thicker, our heart stronger and our mind wiser. And then when we see in the mirror, we shall say 'Yes, this is me.' ๐Ÿ™‚
