Cliffhangers

With a starry sky above our heads,

let us sit together for a while or more

And solve all those cliffhangers

that the time has woven for both of us.

 

Let us leave all the cliched phrases behind,

and say, what in coffins, we’ve kept alive

Let us take out some time to brush away

The dust from yesterdays, and veils from tomorrows.

 

Let us sit and keep our senses aside

and get emptied of all our little intellect

Unleashing the mists from our eyes,

Let us spurt out some suffocated truths.

 

Let us whisper our all metaphysical ideals,

and exchange a few philosophical notes,

Let us look at the thunders within us,

and find shores to reside in each other.

 

Let us tie a gentle nameless knot

And when it clings before the world awake,

Let us just meet like we used to,

In beats of heart and greets of past.

 

Let us revive hopes, murder expectations,

Let us comfort each other with no promises,

Let us not iterate it again and again,

That we’re scared of the forthcoming future

 

Let us read between the gaps of words

Let us live between the pause of breaths

And when it’s done, then all distances

will perish the pains that used to live

 

With a little desire of immortalising today,

Let us sit together for a while or more

And solve all those cliffhangers

that the time has woven for both of us.
